Amanda Signs to ABC Plot

Having been working in feature films recently, such as Hairspray and the Lifetime movie Living Proof, Amanda Bynes is returning to series television with a new role in the ABC pilot Canned, says the Hollywood Reporter.

Obviously a sign of our times, the project is about a group of friends who are all fired during a corporate shake-up. Bynes will play one of that central group, named Sarabeth, who is described as a native Midwestern girl who often spent nights at the office to get her work done.



I just learned that the new ABC plot is called "Canned."

This is so exciting! It sounds like it will be great. What do you think of this news?

NY Magazine wants to see Amanda on SNL

NY Magazine would like to see Amanda on Saturday Night Live. Read more below.

We just realized that we've been writing here on Vulture for nearly four months, and we have yet to work Amanda Bynes into one of our pieces (for shame!). Although her career has hit a bit of a rough patch of late, we still think that Bynes is one of the most gifted comediennes of her generation. The only thing keeping her back from having an Anna Faristype career is one hit film, and we think SNL would be the perfect showcase for her talents (especially considering her background in sketch on The Amanda Show).

Amanda Starting New Clothing Line?

Amanda revealed to Hollyscoop that she still hopes for a new clothing line.

She says, €œI am not working on it now but I think maybe in the future I will tap into that again because I love clothes. I love fashion. I am definitely thinking about it.€

If you guys recall, Amanda Bynes already had a fashion label named Dear but unfortunately it went under when Steve & Berry€™s closed it€™s stores.

The young fashionista is €œinspired by Max Azria, Yves Saint Laurent, Elizabeth and James€ as well as the more budget friendly American Apparel.

For young women during this recession, Amanda recommends €œAmerican Apparel. You can wear really cute tops or leggings.€

Amanda To Walk Runway In Honor Of Heart Awareness Month

News: It was announced that Amanda will walk the runway at the Heart Truth Red Dress Fashion Show presented by the the National Heart and Blood Institute as part of Heart Awareness Month.

She wore a red Nicole Miller dress. The idea of the fashion show was to remind women to take care of their heart and take action to live a healthier lifestyle. Continue reading here.

Doug Speaks Again About Breakup

The past weekend during Super Bowl, Doug Reinhardt spoke to E! News about his break-up with Amanda Bynes at the DirecTV Celebrity Beach Bowl...

Doug Reinhardt, who was also part of the winning team, said he's enjoying the single life after splitting from Amanda Bynes.

"It€™s a tough breakup, but I€™m making the best of it," he told me. "Amanda€™s a great girl, but we had our differences. I wish her nothing but the best."

Amanda & Doug Split

According to Just Jared:
On Thursday, news spread that Amanda Bynes had split with baseball player Doug Reinhardt. She ended it. She had had enough, a source close to the actress told Us Weekly. Her friends didn't trust him. Everyone thought he was using her for celebrity. He was not good, and she was over it. It was definitely her who ended it.

Doug now has a different story, telling E! News, She wouldn't even let me have a guys night out without flipping out on me. So it's over. Not quite, insists Amanda rep: She broke up with him.
